Random - This is Singapore?! @ Singtel Kranji Radio Transmitting Station

The above view is taken inside a supposedly land-scarce Singapore.

In our aim to be self sustaining in water supply (so that we would no longer be held hostage by our neighbouring country), such beautiful reservoir sights are getting more and more common!

Water is one thing (no matter what, it is the basic need of any human) but such extravagant land usage (red border) is a big waste when the government keeps saying that the little red dot is in need of space!

This big restricted area has only one building and loads of antenna-like structures; Singtel Kranji Radio Transmitting Station.

Honestly, on one hand, I am not sure if radio transmission requires such a humongous area that could be put to better use in other purposes like agriculture, housing etc.

On the other hand, it does provide a different look of this little island - a look that makes people wonder if this is indeed in Singapore.

Radio transmission requires radiation. You don't want to be too close, do you! I'm listening that radio station right now. Greetings from Finland. :)

Listening to BBC broadcast from this station all the way over to Vancouver Canada. Interesting to see a picture of the broadcasting station. Thank you for sharing.
