Traditional (?) Pancake (传统面煎粿) @ Han N Han, Yishun

It's time again for my personal favourite snack; 面煎粿 as you might have read here!

Han N Han recently started its operation and as mentioned before (here), having a piece of pancake is what i usually do after breakfast or lunch; provided a stall is nearby.

I was not full after downing a plate of chee cheong fun and Han N Han gave me a valid excuse to try their 'super' pancakes!

Ironically, i remember the 'super' pancake as the traditional type in my childhood, which were round-shaped and folded in half, forming a semi circle.

They were time consuming to make although such cooking method results in a thinner, crispier crust that enhances the overall taste.

My first such pancake in Han N Han had peanut filling. It will be heavenly if only PEANUT BUTTER was not used in place of the traditional peanut bits with sugar!

You want traditional pancake?
Use the traditional ingredients!

*absolutely hates peanut butter in pancakes although loving the same stuff on bread*

The second pancake with red bean paste was much better! The dough had a very aromatic eggy taste and it brought back good memories of my virgin pancake from Chong Pang hawker centre!
